CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University men's soccer team fell to the Choctaws of Mississippi College 4-0 Sunday afternoon at Delta Field
Offensively, the Statesmen created chances throughout the contest, finishing with six total shots, including quality efforts from Alfie Lally, Landon Cox, and Gage Lashlee that forced Mississippi College's keeper into action. Braden Taylor and Ashton Taylor were also active in midfield, helping drive DSU forward and keep pressure on the visitors.
Defensively, veterans Logan Funk and Santi Rossi anchored the back line, while newcomers such as Eduardo Guevara and Elijah Belk added valuable minutes to the back line
Delta State (1-2-1) will now turn its focus to its next challenge as they'll start Gulf South Conference play against West Florida Friday (Sept. 19) at Delta Field.
