CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University men's soccer fell 3–1 to Christian Brothers University in a Gulf South Conference contest Sunday afternoon at Delta Field.
Midfielder
Braden Taylor brought a spark for the Statesmen in the 76th minute, slotting home a composed finish off a well-timed assist from defender
Santi Rossi. The goal capped a strong stretch of possession for the Green and White and showcased the team's growing attacking chemistry.
Goalkeeper
Mason Baglio turned in a gutsy performance, facing 20 shots and recording four quality saves—three of them in the opening half to keep the contest within reach. Rossi anchored the back line with 90 relentless minutes, pairing stout defense with his key playmaking in the final third.
The Statesmen (1-5-2, 0-3-1 GSC) return to action Friday as they travel to Clinton to take on Mississippi College at 3:00 p.m. (CDT).
