CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State University Men's Basketball Team (7-8, 4-6 GSC) will travel south to Clinton, to face in-state rival Mississippi College (8-8, 5-5 GSC) on Saturday, January 17, at 4:00 P.M.

Scouting the Statesmen:
- The Statesmen are looking to keep momentum rolling after two big home wins vs. Trevecca Nazarene and Lee last weekend at Walter Sillers coliseum.
- Dacory Porter leads the Statesmen, averaging over 16 points and 3.5 assists per game. Last week, Porter averaged 23.5 points per game and 9 rebounds in the two wins.
- Je'Marion Westbrook leads the Statesmen in rebounds, averaging over 6 per game.

Scouting the Choctaws:
- MC enters this weekend at .500 overall with an 8-8 record and a 5-5 record in the Gulf South Conference. Last weekend, the Choctaws went 1-1 with a win against Lee and a loss to Trevecca Nazarene.
- Phil Nelson has led the Choctaws, averaging 15.8 points per game. Last weekend, Nelson scored 12 points in MC's 85-68 loss to Trevecca Nazarene
- Avaughn Johnson leads the Choctaws in rebounds, snagging 8.8 boards per game. Johnson was the Choctaws outstanding performer last weekend with 24 points and 14 rebounds against Trevecca Nazarene.
