Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University Lady Statesmen Women's Basketball Team (16-10, 14-7 GSC) will host the Choctaws of Mississippi College (9-17, 8-13 GSC) on Friday at 5:30 PM at Walter Sillers Coliseum.
 The Lady Statesmen will be hosting a GSC Championship tournament game next week. Delta State will earn the three seed with a win and a Union. A Loss and a Lee win will put the Lady Statesmen at the four seedÂ
Scouting the Lady Statesmen:Â
- Delta State looks to add on to their win Saturday afternoon at Trevecca Nazarene 76-67 this past Saturday afternoon in the Music City.
- Jaryiah Williamson leads the Lady Statesmen with 11.5 points per game. She also leads them in assists with 2.6 per game. Â
- Dakiya Toney leads with 6.7 rebounds per game and is shooting 45.6% from the field.Â
- The Lady Statesmen have played very well at home, posting a record of 10-2 at Walter Sillers Coliseum. Â
Scouting the Lady Choctaws:Â
- On the contrary, the Choctaws have struggled in away games, posting a record of 2-11 outside of their home court.Â
- Nia Coleman leads the Choctaws with 13.5 points per game. The Junior guard is also leading in rebounds with 5.1 per game. Â
- Vivian Sketoe has helped Coleman lead the Choctaws. She averages nine points per game and shoots 32% from the three-point line. Sketoe leads with 2.7 assists per game and 1.5 steals per game.Â
