2009-2010 (Freshman): Played in 26 games for the Lady Statesmen...Helped lead DSU to fifth-straight NCAA "Sweet 16" finish and 27-4 overall record...Averaged 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds per game as a freshman...Scored career-high 10 points versus three teams - West Alabama (11/23/09), Montevallo (12/30/09) and Christian Brothers (1/16/10)...Grabbed career-high five rebounds three times - CBU (1/16/10), Ouachita Baptist (2/4/10) and at Christian Brothers (2/13/10).

PREP: Averaged 11 points, six rebounds, and two steals a game for head coach Paul Hayden at Brandon High School. Was a McDonald’s All- American® nominee and earned All-Metro, Honorable Mention All-State, and Top-40 Senior honors from The Clarion Ledger… Helped lead her team to back-to-back state tournament appearances… Member of the National Honor Society

PERSONAL: Full name is Jasmyne Sarita Sanders…Born August 22, 1991 in Jackson, Miss….Daughter of Kimberley and Johnathan Sanders II…Has two sisters, Joncyee Sanders and Jessyka Burch, and two brothers, Johnathan Sanders III and Richard Burch…Twin sister Joncyee also plays for the Lady Statesmen…Brother Richard was an offensive lineman at Mississippi State and Mississippi Valley State, and was nominated to the all-Southwestern Athletic Conference First Team as a senior in 2005.
