Tommie Moore begins his second season on the Delta State University strength and conditioning staff under head strength coach Kevin Rodriguez.
Moore is assigned to handle the day-to-day strength and conditioning efforts for men and women's basketball while also assisting with football.
Moore comes to Delta State after having interned with the University of Florida football strength and conditioning staff under the direction of head coach Nick Savage, who was the former head strength coach at Mississippi State under Dan Mullen, and interning with the University of Kentucky football strength and conditioning staff. In his summer with the Wildcats, Moore worked for Coaches Mark Hill and Corey Edmond.
Moore was a walk-on football player at NCAA Division I South Carolina State from 2013-2019 under head coach Buddy Pough and was part of back-to-back MEAC conference championship teams in 2013 and 2014. While at SCSU, Moore was teammates with current NFL players  Joe Thomas, Javon Hargrave, Darius Leonard, Antonio Hamilton, Kimario McFadden, and Temarrick Hemingway.
After graduating from SCSU, Moore coached wide receivers and defensive backs at Edisto High School from 2016-2018 under coach Chris Carter before beginning his strength and conditioning coaching career in 2018 with an internship under Keith Swift, who is now the Assistant Director for Football at Purdue University. He worked with men’s and women’s basketball, football, softball, soccer and volleyball.
Moore also served at the head strength and conditioning coach and defensive line coach at Middle Georgia State University under coach Kiwaukee Thomas. While there, he coached three All-Conference selections and also won the NCFA Conference Championship in the Southeastern Division.Â
