2019 GSC Winter Academic Honor Roll

2019-20 (SENIOR): Made 26 starts at point guard for the Statesmen...averaged 38.9 minutes per game...third on the team in scoring with 12.1 points per game...led the team with 107 assists, which ranked sixth in the GSC...shot 46.3 percent from the floor...had a career-high 21 points against Lane College (12.4.19)...posted seven assists against West Florida (2.13.20)...played all 50 minutes in Delta State's double overtime win over Auburn Montgomery (2.1.20), scoring 17 points, grabbing four rebounds and dishing out five assists…had a total of 24 steals, with a career-high three against Mississippi College (2.20.20).

UAB: Spent two seasons playing under Coach Robert Ehsan at the University of Alabama Birmingham…saw action in 23 games, drawing nine starts in 2018-19…played in two games before receiving a medical redshirt in 2017-18.

JUCO: Played two seasons at Ancilla College in Plymouth, Ind., under Aaron Butcher…averaged 9.5 points, 5.8 points and shot 35.3 percent from three-point range as a sophomore…helped the Chargers become ranked as high as sixth in the NJCAA Division II rankings…elected to the All-Western Conference Second Team…named to the Western Conference All-Defensive Team…helped Ancilla College finish runners-up at the NJCAA District 9 Tournament…averaged 9.2 points and 3.0 assists as a freshman…shot 41.8 percent from three-point range…named to the All-Western Conference Third Team…named Western Conference All-Freshman Team

PREP: Played at Center Grove Highs School in Greenwood, Ind., for Coach Zach Hahn…was a Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference Honorable Mention as a senior…led the Trojans in steals, assists, three-point percentage and free throw percentage as a senior.

PERSONAL: Anderson McCoy…son of Scott and Amber McCoy...has one brother, Titus, and one sister, Brittany…graduated from Alabama Birmingham in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing…working toward his MBA at Delta State.
