Austin Anderson enters his second year as a graduate assistant for coach Jim Boone and the Statesmen basketball team. Anderson spent the 2015-16 season as an assistant coach for the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where he was responsible for academics oversight, opponent scouting, recruiting in New York and New Jersey and other duties.
He also helped the Owls to their first USCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.
In 2015, Anderson graduated from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology. He served three seasons as a student manager, where he assisted with team travel, film exchange and pre/post game meals. Anderson also spent 2015 as a strength and conditioning intern.
