Danielle Cole enters her first season as a member of the Delta State coaching staff and first season coaching under head coach Craig Roden.
Cole joins the Lady Statesmen staff after graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of West Alabama in May.
She served as a student assistant in 2013 at the University of West Alabama. As a member of the Tiger coaching staff, Cole prepared scouting reports and film breakdowns while assisting with the direction of individual workouts, practices and weight lifting sessions.
As a player, Cole was a key cog for the Tigers during the 2011-2012 season on the court, averaging 6.1 points and 3.1 rebounds while being second on the team in minutes per game at 27.6.
Cole was selected to the Gulf South Conference All-Tournament team for her efforts throughout the tournament as the Tigers knock off the University of Alabama at Huntsville 86-74 to earn a berth in the NCAA Division II National Tournament field.
Prior to her time as a Tiger, she collected mulitple accolades in her playing career at East Central Community College. Cole was an All-Conference selection and was also a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) North vs. South All-Star game participant as a member of the Lady Warriors squad.
