Senior Veronica Walker has been named GoStatesmen.com Female Athlete of the Week following a stellar performance in the Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic, in which DSU finished with a 1-1 record. 

The Indianola native averaged 29 points over the two day event, including a career high 35 in the 72-60 victory over Lincoln Memorial. Through five games, the former Gentry HS standout is averaging 23.2 points and 9.2 rebounds.
