Stacey Hagenson, a junior All-Gulf South Conference runner for the Lady Statesmen Cross Country team, collected her first GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week award after leading Delta State to the team title at the Fleet Feet/Earl Jacoby Memorial 5K, hosted by the University of Alabama-Huntsville, this past Saturday in Huntsville, Ala. Â
Hagenson claimed the top spot for the Lady Statesmen with a third place finish. The Poplarville, Miss., native picked up right where she left off the 2011 season, finishing the challenging Sharon Johnson Park course in 19:21.
Hagenson and the Lady Statesmen return to action this Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Azalea City 5K, hosted by the University of South Alabama, in Mobile, Ala.
