Caue DaSilva, a freshman forward for the Statesmen Soccer team, captures his second straight GoStatesmen.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Green-and-White to a weekend sweep of Shorter and Alabama-Huntsville.  The victories tied DSU's record for consecutive victories with five.  

DaSilva made history for the Statesmen on Friday with his second consecutive three goal performance in a 3-1 victory over the Hawks of Shorter University.  The lightning quick forward scored goals in 43', 50' and 51' minute for the Statesmen.  

The São Sebastião do Caí, Brazil native kept the momentum going for the Statesmen on Sunday with his seventh goal in the last three matches for the Statesmen, as Delta State defeated Alabama-Huntsville 2-0 in a Gulf South Conference contest.  DaSilva put DSU up for good on Sunday with a blast to the back of the net in the 20' at Delta Field.  

DaSilva leads the Statesmen with eight goals on the season.  He also tops the Green-and-White with 17 points on 27 shots and he has one assist.
