Ben Pickard receives his first DSU Student Athlete of the Week honor for extending the Delta State Baseball winning streak by dominating mid-week opponent Ouachita Baptist along with Gulf South Conference foe West Georgia in a weekend series from Carrollton, Ga.

For the week, Pickard hit .625 (10-for-16) scoring eight times and collecting 10 RBI.  Pickard added two walks and was hit by a pitch twice to get on base 14 times in five games played.  The sophomore from Biloxi, Miss., slugged .750 and even added a stolen base in a week where the Statesmen went 5-0.
