Junior, Chelsey Rhodes was selected as the GoStatesmen.com Female Athlete of the week. The 5-foot-7 guard combined for 43 points last week in Delta State's conference games against West Georgia and West Alabama. The Monticello, Ark., native went 4-of-15 from the field against West Georgia, including 1-of-5 from behind the arc, to lead the Lady Statesmen with 19 points. Against West Alabama, Rhodes shot 7-of-14 from field-goal range and 3-of-6 from downtown for her fifth straight double-figure performance with 24 points. She leads the team with 14.2 points per game.
