This week's GoStatesmen.com Female Athlete of the Week is Melanie Tombers.

Tombers is a member of the women's swimming and diving program. In the double duel last weekend against Henderson State and West Florida she placed first in the 1,000- Freestyle (10.24.37) and in the 500- Freestyle (5:05.70). The women split with a victory against Henderson and a lost against West Florida.

Tombers and the team will head down to Pensacola, Florida on Jan 24th,and square off against West Florida. The meet is set for 10 a.m.
