Luke Mason, a senior midfielder for the Delta State men's soccer team, has been named the CableOne GoStatesmen.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Sept. 20. The Tupelo, Mississippi native bagged a goal and assisted on the game-winner in DSU's 3-2 victory Sunday, Sept. 20 at Delta Field.
Mason also startered and played all 90 minutes in DSU's 3-1 victory over Mississippi College in the Gulf South Conference opener for the Statesmen.
In five games, Mason has scored two goals and tallied one assist with four shots on goal. He will lead DSU back into action this Friday, as the Statesmen host West Alabama at 3:30 p.m.
