Kaelin Kneeland, a junior forward on the Delta State Women's Basketball team, earns her first career CableONE GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor after helping lead the Lady Statesmen to a 71-37 victory over North Alabama in the first contest of the spring semester on Saturday, Jan. 2 at Walter Sillers Coliseum.
The 5-foot-10 center from Olive Branch, Miss., scored 13 points and cleared 11 rebounds in 21 minutes of work for coach Craig Roden and the Lady Statesmen. Kneeland was 5-of-7 from the floor and 3-of-5 from the free throw line in the victory.
Saturday's performance was her first double-double for the Lady Statesmen since transferring from Itawamba Community College.
