Dietrich Taylor, a junior forward for the Statesmen, has earned CableOne GoStatesmen.com Athlete of the Week honors for the first time this season.
The Jackson, Miss., native helped the Statesmen over the weekend sweeping West Georgia and West Alabama in Gulf South Conference action.
Taylor set a career high scoring nine points and grabbing nine boards in the 57-54 win against West Alabama.
The Statesmen return to action on Thursday, Jan. 12, when they play host to the University of North Alabama at 7:30 p.m. The Green-and-White will then play No. 21 Alabama Huntsville. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT.
