This week’s CableOne GoStatesmen.com Male Athlete of the Week is PJ Davis of the Statesmen basketball team.
The senior forward tallied 22 points and eight rebounds while playing all 40 minutes in Delta State's 72-56 loss against Arkansas Monticello on Saturday, Dec. 9.
A Cleveland, Miss. native, Davis added three blocks and two steals, and went 6-of-10 from the field. Davis added career-highs at the free throw line as well, going 10-for-14 from the stripe.
The Statesmen close out non-conference play against Bethel (Tenn.) University on Tuesday, Dec.12 at 7 p.m. The Green-and-White then travel to Auburn Montgomery on Saturday, Dec. 16 and West Georgia on Monday, Dec. 18 to close out the schedule before the Christmas holiday.
