Taylor Johnson, a senior pitcher from Long Beach, Miss., was named the CableOne/Farm Bureau Insurance Female Athlete of the Week on Monday, Feb. 26 after leading the Lady Statesmen to 2-0 shutout victory over No. 20 Valdosta State this past Sunday.

Johnson tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing just two hits with two strikeouts to earn the win. She has not allowed an earned run in her last 22 innings, also opponents have recorded just 13 hits during that same span.
