Darren Gardenhire, of the Statesmen football team, has been named GoStatesmen.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week  after his performance at Florida Tech, on Saturday, Sept. 15

The Los Angeles, Calif., native intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown, and also forced a fumble. This season, Gardenhire has six tackles, two interceptions and a pass breakup. His two interceptions are tied for second in the Gulf South Conference.
