Golfer Jake Kight was named one of GoStatesmen.com's Featured Athletes of the Week, presented by Guaranty Bank, as he helped the Statesmen to a second place finish at the Matt Dyas Invitational on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20. 

Kight, who closed the tournament four-over-220, finished in a tie for seventh place. He turned in rounds of 75, 71, and 74 as Delta State's second finisher. 

Kight and the Statesmen are back in action on Monday, Oct. 26 and Tuesday, Oct. 27 to close out the fall season at the University of North Georgia Invitational at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga.
