Delta State University Lady Statesmen swimmer Celeste Turner was named a Guaranty Bank Featured Athlete of the Week after helping lead DSU to a second-place finish at the annual Delta State Christmas Invitational.

Turner, a Tupelo, Miss. native, scored 116 points for Delta State over the four-day meet. Turner won the 100 butterfly with a 54.86, and she also secured a victory in the 200 butterfly by more than two seconds in 2:02.45.

She also finished fourth in the 100 freestyle with a 53.16. She also added second-place finishes as part of DSU's 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams with times of 1:35.26 and 3:49.42, respectively.
