Hannah Boudreaux, a freshman swimmer on the Lady Statesmen Swimming & Diving team, has been named the GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Monday, Nov. 16. The Lafayette, La., native turned in one of the best performances in her young career, as the Lady Statesmen dominated Rhodes College 125-68 Saturday at the DSU Aquatics Center.
Boudreaux helped power a DSU freshman class that claimed six event victories on Saturday. The former Lafayette HS star claimed wins in the 100 and 200-Butterfly to lead DSU. She hit the boards in 2:12.19 to claim the 200-Fly, while downing her oposition by nearly three seconds in the 100-Fly with a 1:01.26.
Boudreaux will lead the Lady Statesmen back into action this Saturday, Nov. 21 at Ouachita Baptist University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Arkadelphia, Ark.
