Weekly Release - Harding and Henderson State (2.26-28.09)

CLEVELAND - The Statesmen (19-6, 9-3 GSC) of Delta State University, who clinched a berth in the upcoming Gulf South Conference Men's Basketball Tournament last week, will put their No. 25 NABC national and No. 5 regional rankings on the line this week with a pair of GSC games against Harding (15-10, 5-7 GSCW) and Henderson State (3-21, 1-11 GSCW). 

The Statesmen hope to better their seeding at the GSC Tournament with a pair of victories. A 2-0 week would lock down second place for the green-and-white. 

DSU will host Harding Thursday (2.26) on “GreenOut Senior Night.” Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at Walter Sillers Coliseum. Seniors Alton Robinson, Oliver Mansour, Jason Elzie, and Brad Skipper will be honored before the game. 

The Statesmen will closeout the regular season at Henderson State on Saturday (2.28) at 5 p.m. at the Duke Wells Center. Both games will be broadcast on the Statesmen Sports Network starting 15 minutes prior to tip-off.
