CLEVELAND-The Delta State University softball team swept a pair of non-conference games on Saturday at University Field, as they defeated Southern Arkansas University 6-3 in game one, and 4-3 in a thrilling comeback in 8 innings.
The Lady Statesmen (4-0) were led by seniors

Southern Arkansas controlled much of the action in game 2, as they took a 3-1 lead to the bottom half of the seventh inning.
Courtney Clark started the bottom of the seventh with a double to left-center field. She was driven in on a fielders choice by Carr. Carr scored the tying run, as Oliver, as a pinch hitter, slapped a single to center field.
As the teams went to the international rule in extra innings, SAU could not push across a run in the top of the eighth inning.
Nikki D'Aurelio stole third base, and was driven in for the game winning run on a sharply hit ground ball to third base by Eikner.
Kate Moreland (1-0) picked up the win in relief of
