JACKSON, Tenn.-The Delta State University Statesmen soccer team dropped its second straight match Saturday night, this time falling to Union 3-0 at the Smith Soccer Complex.
Union (3-0) was the host team in the Union University Classic in Jackson.
The Statesmen (0-2) were out shot 26-1 in the contest. Nine Union shots were on target, with none on target for DSU.
Flavio Romero stopped six shots for DSU.
Deigo Santos scored two goals for the Bulldogs, while Kemal Gogic added the other.
The Statesmen will look for their first win Monday Sept. 6, as they take on Bethel College at Delta Field. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
