CLEVELAND - After dealing with an up-and-down season in 2010, the Delta State University Statesmen erupted out of the gates Wednesday, blasting the Christian Brothers University Buccaneers 9-0 in the season opener at University Courts.  The Statesmen improved to 1-0, while the Buccaneers slipped to 0-1.  

Delta State claimed wins in all nine matches on Wednesday and surrendered just four games all day.  Complete match results are below.

The Statesmen return to action February 18-20 in a three match series versus Ouachita Baptist, Southwest Baptist and Oklahoma Christian.  The three day event will be held on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark.
