CLEVELAND-Lady Statesmen softball head coach Casey Charles announced on Thursday that Friday's Gulf South Conference doubleheader versus Arkansas Tech has been pushed back to a 5 p.m. start due to heavy rains in the Mississippi Delta. 

The doubleheader was originaly scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Arkansas Tech (26-16, 16-6) currently sits in first place in the GSC West Dvision, while the Lady Statesmen (19-25, 10-12) have fought their way back to a fourth place tie in the division. 

The top four teams in each division advance to the Gulf South Conference Tournament in Southaven, Miss., beginning on Friday, May 6.
