Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. - The Delta State soccer team fell to Union 2-0 Friday evening in the Statesmen's final road game of the regular season.

After over 43 minutes of scoreless soccer, Union (8-3-4) broke the tie with a header goal from Guilherme Reis off a cross with just over a minute to go before the half.

In the second half, Seth Guiler scored on a ball from Reis for Union's second goal in the 66th minute.

Mack Pytyck faced a plethora of Union shots on the night, as the Bulldogs put 20 shots in the direction of the Statesmen goalkeeper.

The Statesmen (7-9-1) put five shots on target in the match but were unable to score.

The conference match has little outcome on the GSC standings as the Statesmen were locked into the No. 4 seed for postseason play.

Delta State will return home Sunday for the regular season finale and senior day against Christian Brothers at Delta Field.
