Jackson's three RBIs help DSU split on day two at UAH Charger Chillout

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 <strong>DECATUR, Ala. -&nbsp;</strong>Maggie Jackson drove in three runs in game one to help the Delta State University Lady Statesmen softball team defeat Quincy 4-2 on Saturday at Wilson Morgan Park in Decatur, Ala. Augusta State University used three RBI's from leadoff hitter Kacee Camp to help defeat DSU 6-3 in the game two.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> The Lady Statesmen (5-5) jumped ahead 2-0 in game one with a two RBI double to left field by Jackson that scored Taylor Holland and Raina Stiffler. The Hawks (1-2) used an RBI single and a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom half of the inning.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> With the score tied at 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Jackson's single to shortstop scored pinch hitter Caroline Womack. The scoring was completed when Jordan Cole's ground ball to second scored Holland.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Ashleigh Allgood (3-2) retired 15-of-16 to end the game. The senior allowed two runs on three hits, with four strikeouts and one walk.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Jackson (2-for-3) was the only player with multiple hits.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> ASU (3-3) jumped ahead 1-0 in the top of the second, using a sacrifice bunt by Kaitlin Harris. The Jaguars took a commanding 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth with Camp's two RBI double to left center.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> DSU clawed back in the bottom half of the inning with a Raina Stiffler's double plated two runs.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> The Jaguars capitalized on a pair of Lady Statesmen errors in the top of the sixth to take a 5-2 lead, and added an insurance run in the top of the seventh with with an infield single to the shortstop that scored a run.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Jordan Cole's RBI triple scored pinch hitter Caroline Womack from second to complete the scoring in the contest.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Brittany Gonzales (1-1) went the distance in the loss, allowing six runs, three earned on 10 hits.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Jackson picked up two of DSU's five hits in the loss.<br /> <br /> The Lady Statesmen are scheduled to finish the UAH Charger Chillout on Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m. with a pair of contests versus Maryville and Bellarmine.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> All of the action will be carried live on GoStatesmen.com
