Arkadelphia, Ark -The Delta State University men's Tennis team fell to the number 18 nationally ranked tigers of Ouachita Baptist University 5-2 on Thursday February 14.
The day Started in favor of the Statesmen as they won doubles one with seniors Florion Mondoloni and
Guillaume Lacour defeated Helge Knuth and Marvin Muller 8-4. Doubles two saw Statesmen
Tobias Rausch and
Jean-Michel Limery fall in a tight match 9-8 to Marko Boskovic and Vito Oliviera
DSU finished doubles play with a victory as Sebastian Rajaonary and
Clement Depreeuw defeated Teodor Valentin and Ricardo Basani 8-4.
Singles Play belonged to the Tigers as
Guillaume Lacour fell 7-6,6-3. Singles two saw
Florian Mondoloni fall 7-6, 6-3 and
Tobias Rausch came up short in singles three 6-0, 6-2.
In singles four
Clement Depreeuw lost a close match 7-6, 6-4. Matches five and six in singles play did not finish.
The Statesmen return to the courts on February 15 as they face Southeastern Oklahoma in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
