ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The Delta State University men's tennis team recorded their first win of the 2013 season Friday, February 15 with a 5-4 victory over Southeastern Oklahoma.
In doubles play DSU won two of three matches winning doubles one and doubles three. Florian Mandoloni and
Guillaume Lacour took DXoubles one 8-6 over SEOU's Radulovic and Bedecarratz.
Doubles three saw DSU's Sebastian Rajaonary and
Clement Depreeuw win 8-4 over SEOU's Lobo and Haugon.
The Statesmen fell in doubles twpo 8-6.
Singles play began with SEOU taking singles 1 and two but DSU caqme back two take singles three and four. In singles three
Tobias Rausch defeated Bedecarratz 6-2, 6-2 and in singles four DSU's Depreeuw defeated Lobo of SEOU 6-3, 6-2.
The Statesmen would fall in singles five but Rajaonary took singles six, 6-4, 6-3 to seal the win for the Statesmen.
The Statesmen return to Cleveland february 16 as they host Gulf South Conference rivals University of West Florida. The match is set for 12 p.m.
