CLEVELAND, Miss. -  The Delta State University Statesmen Tennis Team recorded another victory as they defeated the Shorter University Hawks 6-3.

The statesmen started the match winnining two of three matches in Doubles Play. Doubles two saw Jean-Michel Limery and Tobias rausch win 8-6. In doubles three Sebastian Rajaonary and Clement Depreeuw won 8-5.

Singles play started with Guillaume Lacour winning singles 0ne 2-6, 6-1, 6-2. Shorter took singles two by a score of 6-0, 6-1 and singles three 6-4, 6-1. The Statesmen would close out singles play and finish the day with wins in singles four, five and six.

Clement Depreeuw won singles four 6-0, 6-1 and Limery recorded a win in singles five, 7-6, 6-3. Rajaonary would seal the victory for the Statesmen with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 win in singles six.

Te Statesmen return to the courts Thursday, March 7 as they play host to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
