Statesmen Tennis Falls 5-0 To Nationally Ranked Florida Southern College

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Delta State University Statesmen tennis team fell Saturday, April 6 to Florida Southern College by a final score of 5-0.

FSC swept doubles play 3-0 as Jean Michel Limery and Tobias Rausch lost a tight match 8-4 to Nathan Leavitt and Vladamir Barabash in doubles two. Doubles three saw the Statesmen's

Clement Depreeuw and Sebastian Rajaonary lose a close match to Carl Lundberg and Jorge Gutierrez by a score of 8-4.

Singles play began with unfinished matches in singles one and two. FSC took the victory in both singles three and four as Rausch fell to Lundberg 6-1, 6-3. In singles four DSU's Depreeuw lost to Barabash of FSC by a score of 6-1, 6-4.

The Statesmen close out the regular season on Sunday, April 7 as they face Gulf South Conference rival Valdosta State University. in Pensacola, Fla.
