Box Score 1 | Box Score 2
CLEVELAND, Miss. – Excellent pitching by Delta State University's Miller Maddox and Macie Wilde and timely hitting from the Lady Statesmen earned them two momentum-gaining wins over Stillman College on Monday afternoon. DSU evens its record at 7-7, while Stillman drops to 1-7 on the year.

Kassidy Tally
Offense started early for Delta State when Kassidy Tally led off the inning with a bunt for a single. With one out, freshman Madison Zoeller hit a sacrifice fly to score the speedy Tally. The next at-bat Brook Cline singled up the middle to score Taylor Holland from second base, taking the 2-0 lead over the Tigers.

Roseville, Calif., native Ashley Mrozinski reached on an error that scored Amber Adcock in the bottom of the third to extend the DSU lead to 3-0.

The Tigers made things interesting in the top of the fourth inning when they scored two runs on three hits. The Green-and-White quickly responded in the bottom frame when a keen eye from Adcock walked in the fourth Delta State run for the Lady Statesmen to take the 4-2 lead.
Taylor Holland

Sophomore power-hitting lefty Kaitlin Moore added another run in the bottom half of the sixth inning when she singled to right-center field, scoring Kassidy Tally.
Delta State went on to defeat Stillman in game one by a final of 5-2. Taylor Holland led the Lady Statesmen in game one as she went 2-for-3, platting one run. Kaitlin Moore and Brook Cline each went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Stellar pitching from Miller Maddox put her with a 1-0 record on the season. Maddox went 7.0 innings for the complete game, giving up two earned runs on four hits. She struck out four and did not walk a batter.

The Lady Statesman offense stayed hot as they defeated Stillman 9-1 in game two for their third run-rule victory of the year.
Miller Maddox
Taylor Holland got things started in the first inning when she singled to score Kassidy Tally. Later in the inning, Amber Adcock hit a liner up the middle to plate Holland, giving Delta State the 2-0 lead.

Three more runs were tacked on by DSU in the bottom of the second. Holland was hit by a pitch and Adcock was walked to bring in two runs, while Madison Zoeller hit a single to score Tally.

Stillman scored its lone run in the top of the fourth on a sacrifice fly.

An RBI fielder's choice from Kassidy Tally, a stolen base diversion, and a Kaitlin Moore double added three more runs to the Delta State lead, scoring Genie Kulak, Memrie Corley, and Tally. The Green-and-White led 8-1 after three complete before scoring their ninth and final run in the bottom of the fourth when Alexa LaCount doubled to left center for her first collegiate hit, scoring Kara Lane Nowell from first.

Delta State won 9-1 over the Tigers by the mercy rule to improve to 7-7 on the year.
DSU recorded 13 hits in game two from nine different Lady Statesmen but Kassidy Tally, Memrie Corley, and Genie Kulak were the busiest at the plate. Tally went 2-for-4 as a slapper, driving in one run and scoring three times, while Genie Kulak contributed two hits in three at-bats.

Raleigh, Miss., native Kassidy Tally was busy on the bases in both games as she totaled four stolen bases and crossed the plate six times for Delta State.
