DSU Men's Tennis Continue Winning Streak With Two More Victories

CLEVELAND, Tenn. / ROME, Ga. –
The Delta State men's tennis team continued their weekend road trip with two more victories against Gulf South Conference opponents Lee University and Shorter University. The Statesmen have now one three matches in a row, bringing their overall record to 7-6.

Delta State's match victory over Lee appeared eminent, sweeping the competition in all three doubles matches. DSU was able to pick up two more victories in singles action, which belonged to Florian Mondoloni and Leon Smart. The Statesmen won 5-1 over the Flames.

The 43rd ranked men's team later took on the Hawks of Shorter University. The Green-and-White won two of the three doubles matches, including an 8-6 victory from the team of Clement Depreeuw and Sebastien Rajaonary. Three more matches were tacked on for Delta State, leading to another 5-1 victory.

The Statesmen are now 5-3 in the GSC and will now prepare for Morehouse College tomorrow in Atlanta, Ga.
