Andy Robertson and team picked up their third straight win with a win over LSU-A, 2-0.
Delta State (3-3) came out early and pressed hard with a goal in the 15th minute of the match.
Amine Rahmani sent a corner kick into the penalty area that was headed by
Sebastian Knabke and sent the ball back across the goal-frame where
Brock Hollier finished. DSU went into halftime with a one-nil advantage.
The Green-and-White continued to press late in the second half as Knabke converted on a free kick taken by
Austin Jackman who whipped in a ball from 25 yards out. This extended the Delta State lead to 2-0, which proved to be enough for the win.
DSU held the advantage in shots 8-7, but LSU-A led in corner kicks 7-4.
Jonathan Hilton picked up his second shutout in as many games, tallying a total of five saves. His counter part, Chandler McInnis, gloved three saves for thee Generals (2-5).
The Statesmen will it the road for their second conference match Sept. 26th against West Alabama at 7:30 p.m. in Livingston.
