Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. – The Delta State University men's soccer team picked up its first Gulf South Conference road victory of the season, as it defeated Union University 2-0 on Sunday at the Smith Memorial Soccer Complex.

@StatesmenSC HOW IT HAPPENED:- Austin Jackman opened the scoring with his third tally of the season just 2:27 in, as he slid a shot into the lower left corner, past Union goalkeeper Matt Kesler. Daniel Deblaere picked up his team-best fourth assist on the goal.
- Anthony Fernandez scored his first goal in the Green-and-White less than five minutes (7:07) later, when his shot found the right corner.
- The Statesmen were outshot 5-3 in the first half and 9-2 in the second half, but each team had four shots on goal.
- Fernandez led DSU with two shots.
STAT OF THE GAME:- Despite being outshot 14-5, the Statesmen and Union each had four shots on goal.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:- DSU goalkeeper Jacob Hauenstein collected his second shutout of the season and the third of his career.
