LIVE AUDIO | LIVE STATS CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University men's soccer team wraps up its home schedule with a pair of Gulf South Conference contests. The Statesmen host No. 15 Lee University on Friday, Oct. 16, before hosting Shorter University for Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 18. Kickoff for both matches is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

ABOUT DSU:- The Statesmen are 5-7, with a 2-3 mark in GSC contests, and have recorded victories in three of the last five matches. DSU scored two first half goals, less than five minutes apart, to defeat Union University 2-0 on Sunday, Oct. 11.
- Seniors Luke Mason and Austin Jackman are tied for the team lead with three goals. Fellow senior Daniel Deblaere leads the way with four assists (.333 per game), which ranks fourth in the GSC.
- Forward Anthony Fernandez scored his first goal in the Green-and-White in the 2-0 victory over Union.
- DSU goalkeeper Jacob Hauenstein ranks sixth in the GSC with 2.8 saves (28) per match.Â
ABOUT LEE:- No. 15 Lee (8-2-2, 3-0-1) has not lost since a 6-0 setback on Sept. 11 versus Palm Beach Atlantic. The Flames have outscored opponents 24-9 in that span. Lee defeated Alabama Huntsville 5-1 in its last outing, on Oct. 11.
- David Perez leads Lee and the GSC with 11 goals. He also leads the GSC with 26 points.
- Quade Marinell leads the GSC with three game-winning goals.
- Goalkeeper Tom Halsall ranks second in the GSC with 4.25 (51) saves per game.
ABOUT SHORTER:- Shorter (4-6-1, 2-2) has won three of its last five matches, including a 3-2 decision over West Alabama on Oct. 11.
- Charlie Dennis and Darwin Lom lead Shorter with five goals apiece. Dennis has five tallies in just eight matches. Dennis leads the GSC with 3.88 shots per game.
- The Hawks have allowed the second most goals in the league (1.9 per game).
- Goalkeeper Austen Trevers leads the GSC with 4.3 (48) saves per game.
INSIDE THE SERIES:- Lee leads the series 3-0-1. The Flames claimed the last meeting, 1-0, on Oct. 17, 2014.
- Shorter holds a 4-1 advantage over the Statesmen. The lone victory for DSU came in a 3-1 decision in 2012. Shorter claimed a 4-0 victory over DSU on Oct. 19, 2014. Â
