UNION VIDEO CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University men's soccer team travels to Tennessee for a two-game Gulf South Conference road trip starting with Christian Brothers University on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. The Statesmen end the trip with a 4:30 p.m. scheduled contest on Oct. 11 at Union University.
ABOUT DSU: - The Statesmen are 4-6, and have recorded victories in two of the last three matches. DSU allowed a pair of first half goals in a 2-1 loss to undefeated Cumberland (Tenn.) on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
- Senior Luke Mason leads the Green-and-White with three goals, while senior captain Daniel Deblaere leads the way with three assists, which ranks sixth in the GSC.
- Nicolas Garrido, who was named GSC Freshman of the Week on Oct. 6, recorded an assist on Amine Rahmani's goal versus Cumberland. It marked the third straight contest that Garrido has recorded a goal or an assist.
- DSU goalkeeper Jacob Hauenstein ranks sixth in the GSC with three saves (24) per match.
ABOUT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS: - Christian Brothers (8-3,1-2) were ranked as high as No. 10 in the NSCAA Coaches' Poll. Following a 2-0 victory over Spring Hill on Sept. 25, the Bucs have dropped three straight contests by a combined score of 11-3.
- Samuel Wilson leads the way with nine goals.
- Brendan Bennett leads the team and the GSC with six assists.
- Goalkeeper Britton McGuire enters play with 24 saves and a 1.5 goals against average.
ABOUT UNION: - Union (4-6, 2-2) has dropped back-to-back 1-0 decisions to West Alabama and Alabama Huntsville. The Bulldogs host Mississippi College on Oct. 9.
- Andre Silva leads Union with three goals.
- The Bulldogs have scored the fewest goals (11) in the league.
- Goalkeeper Matt Kesler has started eight-of-10 matches for the Bulldogs and has recorded 22 saves and ranks second in the GSC with a .87 goals against average.

- Christian Brothers leads the all-time series 13-3-1, including a 2-1 victory in Cleveland in 2014.
