No. 40 Statesmen Tennis Team Douse Flames of Lee University, 5-1

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Delta State men's tennis team took on Lee University on Saturday, March 21st, coming away with a dominating 5-1 victory. The 40th ranked Statesmen (4-3, 2-1 GSC) won two doubles matches over the Flames (1-7, 0-4 GSC), including an 8-1 rout by the duo of Clement Depreeuw and Joao Yamacita. The Green-and-White finished the evening with three more wins in singles competition. Niko Ptasinski, Arthur Berthiaux and Lionel Gazzo were all victorious.

The Statesmen will play their next four matches on the road, beginning on Thursday, March 26th. Three of their opponents will be Gulf South Conference schools, including the University of West Alabama, Valdosta State University and the University of West Florida.
