GSC PREDICTIONS: Delta State was picked to finish second in the annual Gulf South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll behind league favorite West Georgia. The Statesmen placed five Preseason All-GSC honorees in
Mose Countryman,
Randall Boyd,
Wilson Curtis,
Romelo Wilson, and
Richard Nash.

The Winnsboro, Louisiana, native is pacing the Statesmen with three interceptions and ranks second on the squad with 22 tackles. His three interceptions lead the GSC and rank seventh nationally.
