TIP-OFFChelsey Rhodes scored 22 points and made 10-of-12 free throws to lead the Lady Statesmen to a 57-46 win over Alabama Huntsville (1.4.16). Mary Carol Davis added a career-high 13 points in the winning effort.
Delta State remained No. 22 in the latest WBCA USA Today Top 25 and is ranked 19th in the D2SIDA Media Poll.
The Lady Statesmen have been stingy defensively in GSC games, yielding 45.4 points per game and limiting opponents to 33.5 percent shooting overall and 22.6 percent from 3-point range. DSU has a plus-14.7 scoring margin and a plus-nine turnover margin. The Green-and-White limited North Alabama to a season low 25 percent shooting and Alabama Huntsville to 13 percent from behind the arc.

Delta State has limited 9-of-11 opponents to less than 37 percent shooting, while four opponents have been held under 30 percent.
