HOW IT HAPPENED- The Boll Weevils took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third. Alex Smith drew a lead off walk and scored on a Brian Ray single.
- Delta State tied the game on a Colton Welch sac-fly in the bottom of the fourth. Ben Pickard doubled and was thrown out at the plate after a Dakota Glore single to right field.
- The game remained tied until the Boll Weevils posted a three-run seventh. Nick Piraino singled and Ray doubled and scored on a Corey Wood home run to left.
- The Statesmen left nine runners on base including five in scoring position on the afternoon.
