Brandon Cummins' ninth inning grand slam in game one and a three-run seventh in game two helped No. 29 Delta State University (19-9, 12-5 GSC) take a doubleheader from the University of North Alabama (15-12, 8-9 GSC) on Friday at Mike Lane Field. The Statesmen rallied from a 4-0 deficit to win 8-6 in game one and from a 3-1 deficit to win the nightcap, 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1)- North Alabama scored a run in the second and fourth innings and two in the third to build a 4-0 lead. Kyle Hubbuch belted a solo home run in the second. A run scored on a squeeze bunt and an RBI single by Kevin Hall to extend the lead to 2-0 in the third. Dylan Calhoun singled in a run in the fourth.
- The Statesmen scored two runs in the sixth and a run in the seventh to cut the deficit to 4-3. Erick Santiago singled home Colton Welch and Brandon Cummins doubled home Dakota Glore in the sixth. Welch singled home Ethan Gill in the seventh.
- A Taylor Hayes two-run single in the bottom of the seventh pushed the UNA lead to 6-3.
- Delta State rallied for five runs in the ninth to take its first lead of the game. Dakota Glore singled home Luke Stanley and Cummins belted a grand slam home run to give the Green and White an 8-6 lead.
- Jacob Brumfield struck out two and got a ground out after in the ninth to record the save.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2)- North Alabama plated two runs in the first and a run in the second to take an early 3-0 lead. Hayes doubled home a run and Hubbuch drove in the second run with a single. Connor Kiser stole home on a double steal in the second.
- The Statesmen got a run in the third to trail 3-1. Cummins was hit by a pitch and scored on a Giambrone double.
- Three runs crossed the plate for the Statesmen in the sixth to take a 4-3 lead. Jacob Swiney doubled home Giambrone and Ethan Gill and Swiney scored on a Matt Barrett RBI single.
- Calhoun led off the bottom of the seventh with a double. After a strikeout, Hall lined into a double play to end the game.
