HOW IT HAPPENED- Senior Ben Pickard drew a bases loaded walk to give the Statesmen a 1-0 lead in the third.
- The Reddies tied the game in the bottom of the third when Jordan Taylor delivered a two-out RBI single.
- Henderson State took the lead for good with two runs in the bottom of the fifth. Taylor doubled in a run followed by a single from AJ Kruzel to give the Reddies a 3-1 lead.
- The Statesmen threatened in the ninth, as senior Trent Giambrone walked and Robertson singled to put two on with no outs. HSU closer Nick Vanthillo got a strikeout and a double play to end the game.
