BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – No. 2 Valdosta State swept past No. 7 Delta State 5-0 in Montgomery, Ala., at the 2016 Gulf South Conference Men's Tennis Tournament Quarterfinals on Thursday. The loss ends the season for the Statesmen, who close the year at 4-11. VSU improved to 13-6 and will face the winner of North Alabama-Lee in the semifinals.
