Tori Mallory's go-ahead layup rolled out and the Christian Brothers Lady Bucs edged the Lady Statesmen 53-50.

How It Happened:
- The Lady Bucs opened the contest on a 6-1 run early in the first quarter.
- The Lady Statesmen answered the run after Anissa Jackson hit a jumper to cut the deficit by one with 4:10 left in the first quarter.
- After a vital three-pointer from Alondrea Rush and an Aspirona Gilbert layup, DSU ended the first quarter with a 10-9 lead.
- The Lady Statesmen opened scoring in the second quarter, but CBU answered by going on a 14-0 run late in the quarter.
- DSU trimmed the CBU lead to 16-23 after a 4-0 run with buckets from Alexis Ross and Jackson going into halftime.
- CBU shot 9-of-22 (40.9 percent) in the first half, while DSU was just 7-29 (24.1 percent). Courtney Banks led the Lady Bucs with six points on 3-of-4 from the floor. Jackson led DSU with seven points while Gilbert picked up five boards.
- DSU stormed out of the locker room, going on a 8-3 run to cut the deficit to two points with 6:17 left in the third quarter.
- The Lady Bucs closed out the third quarter with a 36-28 lead.
- Delta State responded with a 4-0 run to open the fourth quarter, but the Lady Bucs quickly answered after a Banks layup and jumper with 7:53 to play.
- The Lady Statesmen used a 7-2 over the final 1:03 to cut the lead to one point, but ultimately fell short as CBU claimed the victory, 53-50.
- CBU finished 18-of-43 (41.9 percent) from the floor, including just 9-for-21 (42.9 percent) in the second half. The Green-and-White finished just 20-of-59 (33.9 percent from the floor), but held a dominant 39-25 edge on the glass, including 18 offensive boards, helping lead to a 13-6 advantage in second chance points.
- Banks led Christian Brothers with 21 points and four rebounds.
- Jackson led DSU with 15 points and four boards, while Rush and Gilbert had eight points apiece.
