CLEVELAND, Miss. - After wrapping up a four-game homestand, the Delta State University men's soccer team hits the road for a pair of games at Lindenwood University (Mo.) and Mississippi College. The Statesmen travel to Lindenwood to take on the Lions in non-conference action on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. and then travel to Clinton, Miss., to take on the Choctaws of Mississippi College in Gulf South Conference play on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m.

INSIDE THE SERIES:
- Lindenwood and Delta State meet for just the second time in each school's history, with the Lions leading the series 1-0 after a 3-1 win over DSU at Delta Field last season.
- Mississippi College leads the all-time series with the Statesmen, 5-4, collecting a 5-0 win over the Green-and-White last season.
ABOUT LINDENWOOD:
- The Lions enter their tilt with the Statesmen holding a 6-5 record and a 2-2 mark in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).
- Lindenwood has won two of its last three games, however, and has scored 12 goals in that time frame.
- Michele Ganz is the leading point man for the Lions with nine goals and one assist to his credit, giving him 19 points on the year. Ganz leads the MIAA in goals, and is second in points for the season.
- Gabriel Jaimes also has double digit points this year for Lindenwood, with four goals and two assists for 10 points, and joins Ganz in the top five in the MIAA in points.
- The Lions are currently one game out of second place in the MIAA and will host DSU in non-conference action at Harlen C. Hunter Stadium.
ABOUT MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE:
- Mississippi College is 8-2-2 on the season and 5-2-1 in GSC play, currently tied atop the GSC table with 16 conference points.
- Horacio Gutierrez Jr. leads the Choctaws with five goals on the season, and Jacob Farthing is MC's leading point man with four goals and four assists (12 points) to his credit.
- MC opened the GSC slate with five consecutive wins, but has had two draws and a loss in its last three conference contests.
- Humberto Pelaez has started every game in goal for the Choctaws, tallying 50 saves and four shutouts on the season while giving up just one goal per game, on average.

After contests with Lindenwood and Mississippi College, the Statesmen return home for a pair of Gulf South Conference games against Auburn University Montgomery and the University of Montevallo. The Statesmen and AUM face off at Delta Field on Friday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m., and DSU then hosts Montevallo on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.
